Interview Templates contain the questions, instructions, and evaluation criteria used to run interviews. Templates are reusable across multiple jobs and can be customised into Interview Kits for specific roles.

Navigate to Library โ†’ Interview templates and select "Create Interview Template" to get started.

A new template starts blank for you to customise to your needs.

Sections

Sections break down your interview into timed periods. Each section has:

  • Name (e.g., "Technical Questions", "Behavioural Assessment")

  • Duration (in minutes)

  • Content (questions, instructions, or evaluations)

You can add as many sections as you need. To add a new section, select "Add Section" and provide a name and duration.

Adding Content to Sections

There are two ways to add content to a section:

Browse Library

Select "Browse Library" to add content from your Interview Content Library. The library browser shows:

  • Your company's content from the Interview Content Library

  • Search and filter capabilities to find specific content

  • Preview content before adding

  • Add multiple items at once

Content added from the library maintains a link to the original, so if you update the library content, you can choose to update it in your template.

Create New Content

Select "Add Content" to create new content directly in the template. You can choose to create:

  • Questions: Interview questions with optional additional details or instructions

  • Interviewer Instructions: Guidance for interviewers on how to conduct the interview

  • Evaluation: Assessment criteria for evaluating candidate responses to sections of content rather than individual questions. (Note: this is only available on certain plans)

New content created this way is automatically added to your company's Interview Content Library for reuse.

Reordering Content

You can drag and drop items within a section to reorder them. Use the drag handle on the left side of each content item to move it up or down.

You can also reorder entire sections by dragging them in the sidebar.

Editing and Removing Content

To edit content in a section:

  • Click the Edit icon on any content item

  • Make your changes

  • Save to update

To remove content:

  • Click the Delete icon on any content item

  • Confirm the deletion

Section Settings

โ„น๏ธ These settings only apply when you have Jobs enabled with interview kits

Each section has settings that control what content can be added by hiring managers when they're creating interview kits:

  • Library Content: Whether content from the library can be added

  • Custom Content: Whether new content can be created directly

  • Label Restrictions: Limits on which library content they can choose from by specifying specific labelled content

These settings help ensure consistency and prevent adding inappropriate content to sections.

Confidential Settings

Templates can be marked as Confidential recordings and transcript. When enabled, interviews using this template will have confidential recordings and transcripts that are only visible to team members given explicit access to the interview.

To enable this setting:

  1. In the template editor sidebar, find the Confidential recordings and transcript option

  2. Toggle it on to restrict access to recordings and transcripts

  3. Save your template

This setting helps protect sensitive interview content and ensures only job admins and people with explicit access to an interview can view recordings and transcripts.
