What is Evidenced?
Evidenced is an interview intelligence platform that enables businesses to run consistent and fair interviews for all candidates. Evidenced guides interviewers through interviews and ensures they capture the evidence to make an accurate and bias-free hiring decision.
Joining your interview
When you're invited for an interview using Evidenced, you'll be provided with an interview join link that looks like this: https://platform.evidenced.app/join/...
You can click the link in the calendar invite or email you've been sent to open the interview. There's no need to install anything, and no need to register for an account. Evidenced is just a web application that will open in your desktop or mobile web browser of choice - all you need is that link.
Testing your audio & video
When you open the interview link, if it's your first interview in Evidenced, you'll need to give the web browser permission to access your camera & microphone. This will pop up automatically in the top corner, and you just need to select Allow while visiting this site to give Evidenced the required permission for this interview and any in future:
You'll then have the chance to test and configure your camera, microphone & speaker settings before asking to join the interview call:
Sharing your screen
If you think you might need to share your screen in this interview, it's best to ensure that your web browser has the necessary permissions already. If you've shared your screen before in Google Meet or another video calling application, this should be fine.
If you're using Chrome on Mac OS, you may need to grant permission in System Settings beforehand. You can find more information on how to do that here: Troubleshooting screen sharing on a Mac
Once you're in the interview, you'll be able to share your screen by pressing the Start presenting button (with an up arrow):
This will present you with options to share another browser Tab, another Window, or an Entire Screen:
Consenting to recording
To ensure fairness and accountability, Evidenced records and transcribes interviews conducted on the platform. Before joining every interview on Evidenced, you have the option to opt-out of recording.
You can find more information on why Evidenced records and how you can opt-out here: Evidenced interview recording guide for candidates
Chatting with interviewers
If you need to get in touch with your interviewers for any reason, you can open up the Chat window in the bottom corner to send them a message:
This can also be useful for sending them links to anything if needed.
Giving feedback after the interview
Once the interview is complete, the call will end and you'll be presented with the option to leave feedback on the interview:
This is feedback for the company you're interviewing with, the interviewers you met with and how well you felt the interview was conducted.
Leaving feedback here is incredibly useful for companies and individuals to monitor and improve their interviewing. All feedback submitted is completely anonymous, and will no way impact the hiring process.
